While not completely digital or synchronized, my life is a mash-up of family, school, ministry, freelance writing and speaking, laundry, and the family dog. I’ve been a youth and young adult volunteer since big hair was in. In 2010 I crash-landed into Christ’s Place in Lincoln, Nebraska, where I accepted the offer to launch Christ’s Place Leadership College for emerging adults as well as help develop small group leaders. In my elusive free time, I still write and speak about volunteering, communication (one on one and small groups), teenagers, leadership, and boundaries. I’m as easily bored as our dog, so presentations are experiential, not lecture-based. Talks can be tailored for public school, marketplace, and faith-based audiences. Navigating life as an emotionally healthy person who allows God to influence us in ways that are both transformative and practical is a high value to me. My goasl is that my talks reflect as much. I’ve written a few children’s stories, for which I hope to find publishing homes. I’m still my husband’s girlfriend after 24 married years. We live and laugh with one of our teenagers in Nebraska and the other in college out of state.
